Join the Sámi songwriting camp Dolvot

Dolvot has quickly become one of the most important meeting places for young Sámi artists and songwriters. Apply to be part of the next camp!

Dolvot has held several memorable camps, facilitated new musical collaborations, and layed the grounds for many new releases since it was started in 2021.

JM Norway and Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen joined forces to strengthen community and create visibility for the next generation of Sámi musicians with this unique song writing camp.

This spring we are partnering with Nordland Musikkråd and Musikkontoret Nord to make the first Dolvot camp the in Lule Sámi region. Dolvot Bådåddjo/Bodø will be held from May 29th-31st, with a base at Beddingen Kulturhus.

During the camp, you will work in groups to produce new music across genres and expressions, with the goal of exploring how you can bring your Sámi identity into your musical expression. We welcome participants all Sámi areas across Finland, Sweden and Norway, and you can apply through this form. If you are selected to participate your stay and travel will be covered.
