MUSIKKVERKSTED FOR UNGE ASYLSØKERE

Since 2012, JM Norway has been organizing Musikkverksted for Unge Asylsøkere (MUA) – music workshops for young asylum seekers. The workshops take place on reception centres and local cultural centres all across Norway. In close cooperation with musicians and music therapists, we wish to offer professional cultural activities for children with less access to this than their peers. The workshops are meant to give children and youth the possibility of unfolding musically and artistically, no matter what prior knowledge they have of music or arts. The workshops are also meant to help them develop their sense of mastery. The main target group for these gatherings are children and youth in the age of 5-18 years.
