IMAGINE

Every year, in countries all across the world, there festivals reminiscent of Ungdommens Kulturmønstring (UKM), which we have in Norway. The festivals give some of the most promising young musicians and bands the possibility of showing what they have to offer in front of an audience. The performers have diverse backgrounds –ranging from rock bands. jazz groups. classical ensembles to rappers or DJ's. From each of these countries, some are selected to take part in the international Imagine final, organized by JMI in different countries every year, in collaboration with the national JM offices.

So far the festival has been arranged in countries like Belgium, Croatia, Malawi, Spain, Sweden and Zimbabwe, as well as Norway. During the finals, Imagine participants from festivals in Europe and Africa come together for four days filled with workshops, master classes, new friendships and a huge final concert the last night.
