World Youth Choir (WYC)

The World Youth Choir was established in 1989 as one of the most interesting and prestigious musical experiences for young singers. Each year the choir invites a mix of old and new singers to a new country to rehearse before doing a tour. The repertoire spans from well-known masterpeices to contemporary music conducted by some of the worlds best choir conductors.

In addition to the artistic aspects of the project, the personal development of the participants receive focus. In the choir more than 80 singers from the whole world meet with a common interest for music. Through this genuine meeting World Youth Choir has received the title “Artist for Peace” from UNESCO.
