Trøndertun: First and second impressions

My stay in Norway is awesome. I started up this exchange program with a two week pre-course in August. We had seminars, workshops and also attended the FK Youth Camp for some days. I had a really good time and made many new friends. After these two weeks, all the MOVE participants were sent each to their post. So here I am at Trøndertun Folkehøgskole, where I am taking jazz lessons with vocal as my main instrument. The class is amazing. I do not feel left out, even though they speak in Norwegian most of the time – I am still able to catch up, and we all work together as a team.

My startup here in Trondheim wasn’t just easy. I had a lot of difficulties adapting to the environment and to make friends. But I had to keep on trying, and it gave positive results. Now I have come closer to the people around me, and I am enjoying may stay at Trøndertun. I am looking forward to spending the rest of the year with my Norwegian fellow students.

Here at Trøndetun, we have a lot of activities. We have jam sessions and small house concerts for the students every Thursday evening. Musicians from outside the school are also welcome. I am learning a lot and having a lot of new experiences. Thank you!
